Over at the Corsair RAM Forums, there’s a step by step guide to putting a computer in your car. The author starts with components, like a case that sips on the 12-volts from your car battery. Then he goes on to suggest optical and hard drives, a Mini ITX motherboard from VIA, and a 7-inch touchscreen LCD. After that, he outlines how to connect your new mobile rig to your car’s electrical and audio systems. No mic for voice control, no GPS hardware, but still way cooler than twiddling with the dials on a regular old car stereo. Hopefully, nothing crashes.
