You don’t have to spend hundreds (or thousands) on a laptop if all you’re doing is checking emails, doing basic office work, and watching TV shows or movies. Now is a great time to pick up a modest option, thanks to President’s Day sales across multiple retailers.

We just spotted the 14-inch HP Chromebook with 4GB memory and 64GB memory going at a $190 discount at Best Buy, which drops its price to $139. The offer applies to the Modern Grey color option, but there’s a catch. This offer runs through 16th Feb, meaning it ends at midnight. If you’ve been thinking of grabbing a new laptop without breaking the bank, now is the time to make the move.

Impressive Display, Solid Performance

For well under $150, this machine flaunts a 14-inch high-definition display that makes it possible to view movies and photos with the great image quality of 1 million pixels. The screen size isn’t huge, but it’s enough not to make content feel cramped. Just above the screen is an HP True Vision HD camera for clear, detailed video calls, even in low light. The tuned stereo speakers take the experience even further by delivering solid, rich sound consistently.

Performance-wise, you’ve got an Intel Celeron processor that offers exceptional quality and value, regardless of the task at hand. Then there’s 4GB RAM, paired with a 64GB eMMC storage capacity. The former is great for basic tasks – think browsing, managing emails, basic spreadsheet work, and media content. You won’t have an issue during everyday usage, as long as you’re not trying to perform some heavy-duty creative tasks or multitask. As for the storage, it’s more than enough to house all your important documents, photos, videos, research files, and even some games.

Connectivity options include Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.3 wireless card, plus a bunch of ports for external peripherals. Those who need to type for long hours will also appreciate the spacious keyboard that features a true multi-touch touchpad with support for four-finger gestures. You can scroll, zoom, and navigate with ease.

The battery offers a couple of hours of use on a single charge. What’s even better is that recharging the machine doesn’t take forever, as it can go from 0 to 50% in just 45 minutes. You can plug it in during lunch break at work, and come back to a machine that’s ready to take on the rest of the day with you!

There’s more to appreciate here, especially now that this laptop is going for just $139. That’s almost nothing, considering all the features HP has packed into it. But again, note that the offer ends at midnight. It’s best to get your orders in before the price goes back up to $329.
