HP is about to pay $55 million in order to settle claims that it defrauded the US government. Apparently the computer giant’s accused of offering kickbacks in order to ensure that its products were purchased by government agencies.
This can’t really be the greatest of news for the company, especially considering the recent and somewhat scandalous departure of former CEO Mark Hurd. [AFP]
