Correct me if I’m wrong, but it’s not often that we can watch a rocket launch video like the one below. Arianespace released an utterly amazing video a few days ago, and I have never seen any footage like it.
I have seen a bunch of cool videos of U.S. rocket launches from the angle of onboard cameras so far, but I could never ride a Russian rocket this way. Until now, thanks to the Arianespace/European Space Agency/Roscosmos trio.
Arianespace’s successful Soyuz Flight VS07 deployed the Sentinel-1A satellite to sun-synchronous orbit on April 3 from the Spaceport in French Guiana, and cameras mounted on the Soyuz’s Fregat upper stage captured the following spectacular footage.
I just cannot stop watching the acrobatic separation of the Soyuz strap-on boosters, and it is also amazing to watch the Sentinel-1A separating tranquilly at approximately 700 km above the Earth.
