Instagram, the photo-sharing app that everyone and their geeky grandmother uses, just got a bump in popularity in the form of Webstagram. Basically, the designers went, "If Instagram won't do it, we'll do it ourselves." Damn right.
All Webstagram does—and, frankly, all it needs to do—is pull the app's photos, feeds, and functionality from your phone and stick them onto a site for easy sharing and commenting. The interface, while not the most attractive girl at the party, is spartan and elegant enough to make you wonder why it was never done before. It even has a Photo of the Day section, where pics marked with the #photooftheday hash are aggregated into a gallery and chosen on a day-to-day basis.
So whenever Instagram decides to make money, it's their turn to think of something better. Good luck. [Business Insider]
