As we march towards the release of iOS 7 this fall, Apple has released the fifth beta of its mobile OS. Here's what we've noticed so far about today's changes.
The icons in Settings have been tweaked like so:

Icons in-call are now rounded just like on the lockscreen:

G/O Media may get a commission
Slide to power off has also been tweaked. Beta 5 is on the left and beta 4 is on the right:

You can now disable Control Center when in an app:

DISCUSSION
why apple why?? i liked everything in beta 1. i'm not talking performance. i'm talking visually. slowly with each beta they seem to be taking shit out and making it worse. i didnt make a stink about icons, because i even liked those.
loved the thin font. they took it out and it didnt make a return. all the thin lines are gone.
loved the pulsing lightning icon when charging. took it out and doesnt seem like it will make a comeback
i loved the blue outline icons in settings. they just fucked it up to make it all cartoony again with icons. ughhh. such an eyesore.
i liked the phone call screen WITHOUT the fucking bubbles. damnit.
previously in the dialer when you pressed the buttons they would show through to your home scren background rather than just a blur of it. i knew it was a bug but it looked cool. thats gone.
By the time the GM rolls around we'll be back to it looking like ios 6.
WTF APPLE.
