Angelina Jolie has gotten her turn as Sleeping Beauty’s nemesis Maleficent; now it’s Kristin Chenoweth’s time to shine as the dark fairy in Disney TV movie Descendants. And she gets a witchy wardrobe for her less than statuesque figure.
Disney is clearly going full camp for Descendants, the movie about the children of Disney villains; just look at how the kids are dressed. Here it really works, taking the opposite approach of Jolie’s lean and striking figure in Maleficent. After all, if Maleficent’s purple-haired daughter is named Mal, this can’t be a movie that takes itself too seriously.
