It’s May the Fourth today, which is the annual day of celebration of all things Star Wars. While it’s more of a fan-led event, a lot of companies do get on it these days, which means that you can actually save a fair bit of money on a few different Star Wars goodies, if that’s something you want to do. A lot of the best deals going on right now are on Lego sets too, which is amazing.
We’ve found two really good ones on some Lego droids, with both the Lego Star Wars R2-D2 Set and the Ahsoka Chopper C1-10P Astromech Droid Set being down by 20% for a limited-time, meaning you can pick them up right now for $80. That’s a great price for either of these amazing sets, but the deals aren’t likely to last for very long.
Beeping Noises
The most popular droid here is obviously R2-D2, as the classic first garbage-can shaped friend that we all know and love, and the beepingest bot this side of your air fryer. The set itself has 1,050 pieces in total, and comes with a few different tools for the droid to use, along with a minifigure of Darth Malak to celebrate the Star Wars 25th anniversary. It’s a wonderful set that’s going to make a lot of fans incredibly happy, but it’s also one that the person you’re buying for might already own, which is why we’re also highlighting a less classical but no less endearing bot alongside it.
The other droid is C1-10P, a cure orange one with little grabber arms, which comes in at 1,039 pieces. So, you’re going to eb spending a few hours putting either of these ones together. While much the same in terms of general use: you’re going to be playing with them, this one is a bit rarer by virtue of being less well-known. Of course, any Star Wars fans who keep on top of everything that comes out will likely know and love this little droid as well.
Lego sets really don’t need to go on sale to actually sell, which makes any notable discount on them more than worth your attention. The only problem is that we don’t know how long the deals will last for, so if you want to get either of these while they’re down to $80 each, then you’ll need to be fast. We don’t want you missing out on these and having a bad May the Fourth.
