How about a little coffee or bagel with your Hot Pocket? LG has combination microwaves that include either a six-cup coffee maker or a bagel toaster actually attached to the microwave. The units are all stainless steel and go for $150 or so.

So is it designed with the small apartment in mind? If so, LG may want to think of dropping that price. My poor, studio-living, tuition-paying ass will never buy a $150 combination appliance. Even if it is the most beautiful bagel-toasting, Hot Pocket-nuking, coffee-brewing, stainless-steel appliance ever. Oh, who am I kidding?/me gets out credit card.

I have one of these (the LG toaster and microwave combo) from about two and a half or three years ago. The microwave is great, but as Babaganoosh said, the toaster is not the best. It's fine for me as I don't use the toaster every day.

The microwave is powerful and does the job right.

@loaderboy, I normally agree that hyrbid devices are the worst of both and the best of neither, but this is a solid microwave and good for occasional toasting.

I also didn't pay $150. When i got mine, there was a stainless option for $150 and a white one for I think $90. I got the white one and am happy with my purchase.

When I was looking at these, I think Panasonic was making a combo toaster-oven/microwave that had heating elements that were in the main cavity. They would lower down from the side (sorta like wings) when you wanted to toast and go back out of the way when done. Or maybe I dreamt that. But I remember buying the LG because it seemed safer and like it wasn't trying so hard.
