At the Olympics later this month, Michael Phelps could potentially win seven gold medals, at the very most. He won’t top the record-smashing eight he earned in 2008, but that doesn’t mean he won’t be exciting to follow. And the London 2012 Results App will help you do that.

What does it do?

Who won the bronze medal for women’s pole vaulting? It’ll tell you that and full results for all 302 events, in addition to live updates, game schedules, and details about each of the 26 sports.

Why do we like it?

The Olympics are good, clean fun (unless of course you’re one of those dope-fiend cyclists). They’re an excuse to be hyperbolically patriotic and become a fan different sports you might not otherwise care about (looking at you, Modern Pentathlon) for two weeks straight. Regardless of whatever event you want to follow, you’ll be able to get information about it in the app. Time to start that countdown to the Opening Ceremonies.
