Now here is one of the sweetest data visualizations we’ve ever seen. This fellow decided to track his heart rate on the day that he proposed to his lady friend and created this graph to show how the rate of palpitations changed before, during, and after the big moment.
Redditor sesipikai proposed in Rome and collected his physiological data with a heart rate monitor belt, then annotated the resulting scatter plot for our enjoyment. It’s particularly interesting to see how his heart rate changes during the proposal itself, dipping down after an initial peak and then shooting back up after his girlfriend says “Yes.”
