Marvel's next big superhero has been announced. Charlie Cox (best known for his work on Boardwalk Empire and Stardust) has been cast as Matt Murdock for the Netflix Daredevil series. Fingers crossed for this one.
Earlier this week the sad news broke that Cabin in the Woods director Drew Goddard would be leaving the Netflix series that he was to run. Allegedly leaving to focus on directing (and writing) The Sinister Six, Goddard left behind showrunner Steven S. DeKnight two scripts for the first two episodes. And that's all we knew, until now. THR and Latino Review are both reporting that Cox (a highly sought after star during the last two pilot seasons) has accepted the role of the blind lawyer/nighttime vigilante Daredevil. This will be Marvel's first live-action endeavor into Netflix's series television. So far Netflix has a fairly good record, and hopefully that can project onto this new title as well.
