It's an entry in the GE ecomagination Challenge (in the Create Power: Renewables category), where GE and its venture capital partners have made a $200 million commitment to invest in the best ideas to develop and deploy digital energy technologies.

From the developer:

The Electric Generator powered by garlic vegetable [is] a container with grinded pure garlic inside and sealed, served as a fuel. Load the container and machine will brewing and extracting the natural chemical reaction from it and it flows to the membrane to convert and generate electricity. The cycle will repeat until the loaded container last.

Check out all the innovative ideas submitted to the GE ecomagination Challenge, and stay tuned to learn whose eco-dream will become a reality!

And check back next week for an in-depth look at the interesting story behind one of the entries in the Connect Power: Grid Efficiency category.
