Metal Gear is one of my favorite game franchises of all time, and it’s arguably the biggest making its way to the iPhone. I’m excited, but I don’t know about this trailer.
From the smidgin’ of gameplay footage we see there at the end, it kind of just looks like Time Crisis with Solid Snake—I see some strong signs of duck-and-cover shooting, which as we’ve already found out with Time Crisis Strike, feels like cheating at Duck Hunt by putting the gun barrel against the TV.

Konami’s rolling out a version with the first 12 stages by this spring, following up with the rest of the game (8 more stages) as a free update later. Let’s hope there’s a bit more innovation than what we can see here. [Metal Gear Solid Touch]
