Whew, that headline is a mouthful but it is really the only accurate description of this speaker system. What makes this system different from every other ho-hum portable media player speaker system is the promise of acoustic “room-filling” sound. The entire system is housed in a always-pretty brushed aluminum and has a 8W subwoofer and two 3W speakers. The K8000 will work with any gadget that uses the standard 1/8-inch audio jack, but Minispeakers is obviously targeting the hip iPod crowd. It is available now for £100 or approximately $184.
