Vitals: The first-person shooter of alien encounter flicks, Predator captures the complex, delicate, ambiguous story of an ultra-strong, bow-hunting alien on an Earth safari in search of humans to kill. But he doesn’t bet on his prey being the ultra-strong, bow-hunting Arnold Schwarzenegger. Dude!

Spinoffs: Of course Predator spawned countless sequels whose plots were nothing more than reiterations of the first – until the fucking awesome Alien vs. Predator. Nobody sane can resist monster-on-monster action in an ancient Aztec temple located in Antarctica. That’s why the Alien vs. Predator series was the best thing ever to happen to this franchise.
Sight you’ll never unsee: Predator has dreadlocks. WTF?
