Is My Hero Academia on Netflix?
Yes, My Hero Academia is on Netflix in 17 countries, according to uNoGS, a site that lists Netflix libraries by country. However, only six of those libraries have all eight seasons, and only Japan’s has English audio. How Many Seasons of My Hero Academia Are There?
My Hero Academia has eight seasons and 170 episodes, and the TV anime is complete. The final season aired from October to December 2025, about a year after the manga ended. Here’s how the episodes split across the seasons:

The Movies, OVAs, and the More Epilogue
Four movies aren’t part of the season count: Two Heroes (2018), Heroes Rising (2019), World Heroes’ Mission (2021), and You’re Next (2024). Netflix Japan lists these films alongside the series. The anime also has 11 OVAs. Four Memories recap specials aired before season 7, and Netflix UK, for example, lists them under that season.
Finally, an epilogue episode called More aired in May 2026 and adapts the extra chapter in the manga’s final volume.
My Hero Academia: Vigilantes
Vigilantes is a spin-off set before the main series, with its own lead characters and two seasons of 13 episodes (2025 and 2026). Because it’s a spin-off, it doesn’t count toward the eight seasons. Netflix has since added the two seasons in the US, the UK, Canada, and Australia, among other countries.
Why Is Season 6 of MHA Not on Netflix in the US?
Netflix hasn’t given a reason, and neither has Crunchyroll, which licenses My Hero Academia outside Asia. In practice, Netflix licenses every season in a separate deal that covers specific countries. As a result, a library can add season 7 before season 6, and the US did exactly that in April 2026. Season 6’s US streaming history is also different.
It streamed only on Crunchyroll when it aired in 2022, while season 5 was also on another major US streaming service. Netflix was expected to add season 6 in the US, the UK, Canada, Australia, and Latin America on June 1, 2026. The UK, Canadian, Australian, and Latin American libraries have it now.
The US library still lists seasons 1 to 5 and 7. With a Canadian IP address, for instance, Netflix lists seasons 1 to 7. Netflix’s Asian libraries come through separate regional deals. Even so, India and Hong Kong lack season 6 as well, although the two libraries have the final season, and no reason has been given there either.
Where to Watch My Hero Academia Season 6
In the US, Crunchyroll streams season 6 with Japanese audio and the English dub. It’s also available through the Crunchyroll channel on Prime Video, and Amazon and Apple TV sell the season and single episodes.

When Is MHA Season 8 Coming to Netflix?
Netflix hasn’t announced a date for the final season in the US, the UK, or Canada. Crunchyroll licensed the final season to stream worldwide, excluding Asia, as it aired in Japan. Crunchyroll still streams it outside Asia, with subtitles and the English dub. Asian libraries, however, were quicker.
Netflix Japan streamed the final season from its premiere on October 4, 2025, and India, Hong Kong, and South Korea added it two weeks later. Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore, and Thailand list it too. The Latin American libraries end at season 7 too. In Germany, Crunchyroll streams the final season.
