Neil Degrasse Tyson and Wu-Tang Clan founder GZA (Gary Grice) are teaming up to make a album about space, which will no doubt bomb atomically throughout. Two geniuses in a room together, rapping about the cosmos? Our minds are blown. Updated.

In an interview with the Wall Street Journal GZA elaborated on Neil Degrasse Tyson's influences on his new album "Dark Matter."

"We talked about frenetic energy, outer space, molecules crashing into each other, organized chaos," Mr. Vitali said. "The grandeur of the fact that the universe was born in a millionth of a second, in this explosion that created billions of stars, these overpowering ideas that are bigger than we can conceive. How do we make the record feel like that?"

And it doesn't stop there, "Dark Matter" will be released in the fall — and GZA has a follow-up album planned inspired by aquatic life. To prepare, GZA has been meeting with marine biologists and other members of the scientific community.

This is going to be so, so good.

UPDATE: According to NDT there is no collaboration. They just met to talk science. However GZA's album will be influenced by all things science and awesomeness.
