Ah, Mr. Krueger. Growing up I was never a fan of scary stuff, but Freddy was the bane of my childhood - scaring the living bejesus out of kid-me the moment I first saw his design. Now, 30 years after his début, NECA are getting ready to creep me out all over again with this amazingly detailed Freddy figure.
The figure, based on the character's first appearance in the original A Nightmare on Elm Street stands at just under 7 inches, and is being released to celebrate the Horror classic's 30th birthday this year.
Freddie comes in a fancy display box inspired by the movie's original posters, and has a whole host of accessories - including a damaged alternate hand, an alternate smiling face, his trusty fedora, a skin mask, and this petrifying alternate 'faceless' head:
Freddy is due for release at the end of this month, but NECA will be bringing the figure to display at a special screening of Nightmare on Elm Street 2: Freddy's Revenge at the Alamo Drafthouse in Yonkers on October 28th, with attendees getting a chance to win the figure as a prize. You can see plenty more pictures of Freddy at the NECA blog, linked below.
