Nokia Lumia 900 Teardown: Cheap Maybe, But Still Very Cheerful

The new Nokia Lumia 900 is here, and we like it: it’s bigger, faster, and and cheaper than its predecessor. But does taking a look inside reveal anything exciting?

On the face of things, no. When Tech Republic pried open its polycarbonate shell, it revealed the 1.4GHz Snapdragon processor, 512MB of RAM, and 16GB of storage we already knew were there.

But what is interesting is that the hardware all generally seems to be of the bargain-basement variety—presumably to help Nokia hit the low price point they were aiming for. So, if a cheap stick of RAM keeps you awake at night, look elsewhere. But this is a phone that’s designed to be fun, usable and accessible—and in those respects, it still delivers. [Tech Republic]
