Ouch, my head hurts. I don't know if it's because I had a little too much to drink or if I just experienced far too many different kinds of incredible at the #GizmodoGallery opening last night. Woz hung out! Antics ensued! We almost broke Santa Claw! Has anybody seen Mascari?

How do you kick off a weeklong exhibition of the coolest gadgets and tech ideas? With a huge bash featuring tech royalty, live music (even DJ Whoo Kid approved), and push-pop sushi, of course. Seriously, where is Mascari? Did anyone check the Claw?

Gallery Party

Last night, we were all in the presence of a titan, and not HTC's new lovable giant (though we do have one of those at the Gallery). I'm talking about Woz. What a nice guy! He drank a few beers, talked gadget lust with Giz staff, signed autographs, and even walked Jesus through the guts of his original Apple Macintosh. Thanks for stopping by Woz! It was a blast. (PS, have you seen Chris Mascari?)

As people waiting to play the Santa Claw online noticed, we shut it down at 5pm. Sorry you lost your place in line guys, but we had to set up the Eclectic Method for his set of remixed tracks inspired by the Santa Claw. At least you got to see the show when we streamed it online. (Thanks to our awesome event staff and the wizards at Gawker Tech!)

A couple of hours into the party, Woz took off, and I think all of the Sushi Poppers (and drinks) went to our heads because, um, well, things got a little crazy inside the Santa Claw. To be fair, I'm surprised it took us this long to realize that the biggest claw game in the world was also an incredible grownup-size ball pit. No one got hurt, but we might have accidentally disabled the claw for a few minutes. I can't remember. I think Chris knows what went down, but we can't seem to find him.

What and awesome way to kick off Gizmodo Gallery! And we've got five more days of awesomeness left. If you're near New York, stop by for one of our planned events and check back here for more coverage of the goings on.
