Rumors abound about the first teaser of Star Wars: The Force Awakens... and the movie's shocking ending. And we may know who's staying and who's leaving in Doctor Who's Christmas Special. Spoilers now!

Star Wars

The very first teaser trailer for The Force Awakens is apparently just weeks away, possibly as soon as before The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1 or airing on ABC. Badass Digest has heard that it'll just be the new "Force" theme, played quietly, while we see the faces of the main characters, ending with a female voice — probably Daisy Ridley — saying "Wake up." And then the title card and the Millennium Falcon firing at the camera. [Badass Digest]

As is traditional at this point, there are anonymous sources claiming that the film ends with Luke Skywalker, in the confusion of a battle with Adam Driver's character, killing Han Solo. This'll snap Luke out of whatever fog he's in, and Han will beg Luke with his dying words to let Driver's character live. Which, according to the source, will be a mistake, as Driver takes center stage as the big bad of the next two episodes. The end of the film is described as:

The artwork with the cyborg holding Vaders helmet in his hands is pretty accurate. This is the end of the movie. Luke beats Driver up pretty good in the fight. He has a scar in his face and his right hand will be cut off by Luke. After the funeral of Han, Driver will be in Lukes quarters, wearing a mask and a robe and he holds Vaders helmet in his cyborg hand, eyes blazing…

Avengers: Infinity War

It sounds like we might have an answer about what happens if Joss Whedon leaves the franchise: insider rumblings say Joe and Anthony Russo, who directed The Winter Soldier and are directing Civil War, are being considered to take the reins of both Infinity War films. This is by no means confirmation that Whedon'll actually be done after Age of Ultron, but it sounds like Marvel's developing a back-up plan if that does happen. [Deadline via The A.V. Club]

Jurassic World

The new viral site for the film,, is doing some worldbuilding before the film comes out. Among the information is this write-up:

Soon after the acquisition of InGen in 1998, Simon Masrani looked to work at a plan that seemed impossible given the circumstances of the years preceeding – the control and re-invention of a new theme park on Isla Nublar. Experts from the Masrani company were collected together, along with Dr. Henry Wu from the InGen company, to plan for the greatest theme park and attractions ever constructed in humankind's history.

Simon Masrani used subsidaries Axis Boulder Engineering and Timack Construction to work on the preparation and planning prior to construction on the island. Construction workers were protected from native wildlife by InGen security over the course of the three years from 2002 until completion in 2004. With over $1.2 billion alone spent in concrete and building materials, this project was never underestimated.

The most incredible thing about the project for me was the fact that we were able to construct so far off the mainland, while maintaining all deadlines", explains Jurassic World Project Manager Mr. Eli Jacobs. "The logistics and the planning were just incredible. Security teams, perimeter fencing, scientists, quarantine zones … it was quite the atmosphere."

Simon Masrani was taking no chance.

Simon adds, "The sense of security proved vital in the establishment of Jurassic World. The media were having a frenzy at the time, conservation groups around the globe were looking and waiting for any incident to tarnish our reputation to try and take Isla Nublar away from us. We had to set a feeling of safety, for when the time came for opening in 2005, we had to ensure people were willing to come.

And come they did … Jurassic World officially opened in June 2005 to an incredible 98,120 visitors in its first month of operation.

Agents of SHIELD

Chris Pratt's willing to appear on this show as Star-Lord, telling Zap2It:

I wouldn't rule it out. Marvel would have to decide, but if it made sense for the brand and for the story, yeah sure.

What's pretty neat about Marvel [is] the mythology exists across all mediums — comic books to films to television. It's one giant universe so it's not beyond the realm of possibility.

At the same time, it's worth bearing in mind that it's unlikely Marvel's going to bring the Guardians to Earth on the TV show, and not save that giant moment for one of the event movies. [Zap2It]

Here's the episode description for episode 2.09:

The Walking Dead

Melissa McBride talked about the themes of the last episode and how she feels Carol embodies them:

There is this undercurrent of a theme of judgment with what I said about taking a passive or very proactive stance. Either way, you're gonna judge yourself or someone's going to judge you for it. But what are the consequences? Does that matter at this point? And this is what she is struggling with. And she says at one point, "I don't know if I'm going to hell, but I'm going to put it off for as long as I can." And I am putting it off for as long as I can. She wants to help these people survive and she has ideas of how this is done. She can't stand around. And if she's projecting judgment on herself, she can struggle with that personally, but how am I going to fit in this group? I can't just stand around. I know what I've done. I know what I'm capable of. I know that I would do anything to save these people. But Daryl's looking at her sideways kind of, or she thinks he is. Tyreese doesn't want some of the things that happened mentioned. So she's feeling kind of like there's a straphold…is that a word?

Doctor Who

Steven Moffat has confirmed that Peter Capaldi, but not Jenna Coleman, has re-signed for the next season. This is of course seems to back up the reports that Coleman's exit will be this year's Christmas special — but it could also be a misdirect. Capaldi also revealed that he turned down the chance to audition for the Eighth Doctor, saying that he wanted the role too much to bear the disappointment of going up for something he'd not get. Once Upon a Time

Colin O'Donoghue previewed what's next for a newly de-hearted Hook:

Hook firmly believes that Rumplestiltskin is going to kill him. He has to do whatever Rumple tells him to, but he can't help but already miss the idea of not having Emma. He's desperate to try and figure out a way to survive, but for somebody who prides himself on being a survivor, this is the last grasp.

... He uses Hook as a hit man to get [other magical beings]. He really doesn't want to have to do that, and it's killing him to have to pretend to Emma that everything is okay. Hook does some things that he really doesn't want to and wishes that he didn't have to. He's remorseful for that, but he has no choice.

Jennifer Morrison adds that Emma senses that something's wrong, but with everything else going on, doesn't have time to figure it out. [Entertainment Weekly]

DL Thurston

He has a scar in his face and his right hand will be cut off by Luke.

I know this is only a rumor, but c'mon, enough with the cutting off of hands! Why did this become A Thing?
