Oh boy. Someone at Pioneer better have a butt pad ready because if this turns out to be the wrong decision, there’s going to be a big ass-kicking party happening over there. It seems the vaunted DVD player maker is going to go all-Blu-ray-all-the-time and is basically dropping its DVD business. Rather than building their own chips and machines, they’ll be licensing from Matsushita and that’ll be that. Good luck, guys.
