I’m one of those people still unconvinced of the greatness of the outdoors; last time I went camping, the only ones who had a great time were the leeches. But I realize many of you out there are rugged outdoorsy types, who probably enjoy listening to some tunes when pitching a tent. Well this weatherproof digital radio may just be for you — the PURE Digital Oasis is apparently the first digital radio that’s weatherproof. This probably means it’s safe to carry around on those hiking trips in the rain, or for the accidental drop in the mud. It’s wrapped in a shot-blasted aluminium case, complete with rubber seals and a rubber antenna. The rechargable battery also lasts about 15 hours, which is helpful for those long overnighters by the lake.
Available for 120 (roughly 216 USD) in the UK starting September; no word on the rest of the world.
