Paul Bettany and Jennifer Connelly retell the agonizing difficulty with which Charles Darwin wrote The Origin Of The Species, surprise it's about love, with a side of blasphemy.
So according to this film, which is based on the novel Annie Book by Randal Keynes, Darwin actually set out to prove that that God did not exist. The movie plays the part of odd ball match maker, and pins science against love as Jennifer Connelly plays the loving and religious wife who will surely be downtrodden if her husband proves her maker a faker. Cue the Natalie Cole music!
But in all seriousness, I'm not really sure what to make of movies that tamper this much with historical figures. Seems like they make everyone look prettier, the times easier and the loves more interesting. So the jury is still out on this for me, but Paul Bettany is always a plus. Creation does not have a date yet.
