Of the umpteen or so upcoming movies Ridley Scott has said he’s directing, it turns out that Prometheus 2 is at the top of the list. At the recent NASA/The Martian event, the director announced he is already currently scouting locations for the sequel, presumably for Noomi Rapace and Michael Fassbender’s severed head to visit.
Even if you’re not a Prometheus fan, the good news is that since Prometheus seems to be holding up Neil Blomkamp’s fifth Alien movie, it’s good that Scott is going to get it done sooner rather than later. If Prometheus 2: Engineer Boogaloo arrives in 2017 or so, hopefully that means we’ll get Alien 5 in 2019, and better late than never.
