Rube Goldberg machines are excessive by definition, but this one, running for over three minutes and spanning across an entire house, is especially extravagant. Zipline? Check. Cellphone call? Check. Game of chess? Checkmate. [BoingBoing]
As many of you guys were quick to point out in the comments, this is in fact pretty old; I am a Rube Goldberg rube and this was the first I’d seen it. I guess those old cell phones should’ve tipped me off?
