The Diode watch is sexy, geeky, and quite the time-teller. But you’re not buying this watch to really get replay value out of it—you want people to strike up a conversation with you when you’re wearing it. The watch does have a nice set of red LEDs on a black background which gives it quite a striking look. The watch DOES do a decent job of telling the time, though, once you figure it out, so yes, it functions well enough for you to buy it. If you require a time-telling conversation piece in order to pick up people in boring bars, the Diode watch is probably for you. It runs for $150 and is available now.
