You can get a lot of tech for your money if you keep an eye out for good deals, and that’s especially true when you’re looking at gaming upgrades. If you’ve been sitting on the fence about getting a monitor upgrade or a solid second monitor for ages, and you just need a nudge, then consider this that nudge, because we’ve found a really good deal on a very reliable and surprisingly powerful one today.

The Samsung 27-Inch G5 Odyssey Gaming Monitor would normally set you back $250, but thanks to a great deal on at the moment, it’s down to $160 for a little while. That’s a big 36% discount, and it makes it a lot more affordable, and a fantastic way to spend your money too. The deal won’t last for long though.

This monitor has a 27-inch screen with 1440p resolution, an amazing 180 Hz refresh rate, and a low 1ms response time. It means that you’re not only going to be able to enjoy beyond HD gaming on this, but that the picture will be incredibly smooth, you can hit up to 180 frames per second if your GPU can handle it, and you won’t lose any time to input lag. It does everything you want from a good gaming monitor, basically, and that’s despite the fact that it’s so cheap right now.

Along with that though, it has AMD FreeSync to ensure you don’t have to worry about your frame rate and the monitor syncing up properly, and that removes a lot screen tearing. It also has a feature which helps illuminate dark areas automatically, making it easier to spot hiding enemies no matter what game you’re playing, and you can tilt and adjust the monitor easily, allowing for a more comfortable play experience. It even switches between sources automatically, just in case you’re planning on hooking up multiple things to it, just making it even more convenient to use overall. You can also put crosshairs on the screen to have an automatic boost to your accuracy in every game, which is amazing.

This is a fantastic monitor, and the chance to pick it up for less than usual is one you’re not going to want to miss out on. We don’t know how long the $160 price tag will stick around for though, so if you do want to get your hands on it, make sure you’re quick.
