SSD prices have been climbing lately, so upgrading your system with one now can feel like a bit of a hit to your wallet. If you’re still using a hard drive and want to replace it with something more efficient, or if your current SSD’s storage space has started to feel tight, Amazon has a solution for you.
The retail giant has just dropped the price of the 2TB Samsung SSD 9100 Pro by 41%. This SSD has been priced around $680 for most of the year, but the discount brings it down to $399. That’s closer to what you’d normally pay for the 1TB model, but here you’re getting twice the storage! And as if the direct discount of $281 wasn’t enough already, you’ll also get 3 months of Amazon Music Unlimited for free with your order. Of course, it’s not directly relevant to the storage drive, but it’s still a nice bonus that lets you stream thousands of songs, audiobooks, and podcasts without spending anything extra – for at least a while. I can definitely imagine myself putting on some nice music before getting started with the installation!
Efficient, speedy, and really spacious
Samsung takes performance pretty seriously. This drive offers sequential read/write speeds of up to 14,700/13,400 MB/s, which translates into speedy file transfers, even when you’re moving larger chunks of data around. Random read and write speeds reach up to 1,850K/2,600K IOPS. These help offer faster boot and load times, so you can get started on your projects without waiting around for long.
There’s a 5nm controller that boosts power efficiency significantly (about 49% better than the 990 Pro SSD), while advanced thermal control keeps temperature in check to maintain smooth performance throughout. You can check how your drive is performing using Samsung’s Magician software on your computer. It also lets you install updates, plus optimize settings for even better performance!
As for the storage capacity, this drive comes with a massive 2TB of storage. That’s plenty of space to house all that you own, from important office files to creative projects, media content, your favorite games, etc. You’re likely going to still have a lot of room left even after tossing all this in.
This speedy and spacious drive is now discounted by 41% on Amazon. It usually sits at $680, but can now be yours for under $400 if you snag it quickly. We highly recommend grabbing the offer soon, because there’s a good chance it won’t last much longer.
