The Samsung Galaxy A37 5G is a mid-range Android smartphone that handles streaming, photography, messaging, and gaming over 5G or WiFi. The AMOLED display delivers sharp visuals and fluid motion at a high refresh rate, with brightness levels that hold up indoors and outdoors. A main lens, an ultrawide lens, and a macro lens handle photography from landscapes to close-up details, with a front-facing camera for selfies and video calls. Samsung’s One UI on Android comes with multiple years of operating system and security updates after purchase.

The Samsung Galaxy A37 5G is currently $375 on Amazon, marked down $100 from $450 for a 17% discount.

A capable smartphone perfect for use as your daily driver

The Galaxy A37 runs on a mid-range Qualcomm or Exynos chipset paired with sufficient RAM for daily multitasking between apps. Phone calls, web browsing, social media, and video streaming run smoothly. Most current mobile games run at standard settings, though demanding 3D titles may require lowering graphics options to maintain smooth frame rates. The 5G connectivity adds faster mobile data speeds where coverage is available, with fallback to 4G LTE in areas without 5G.

The AMOLED display provides deep blacks for cinematic content and vivid colors for photos, with sharp text and detailed graphics for reading and games. A high refresh rate keeps social media feeds, web browsing, and game motion smooth. The larger screen size provides more visual real estate for video, gaming, and reading. Eye Comfort Shield in Samsung’s One UI reduces blue light output during evening reading sessions.

The rear camera handles common photography situations, such as outdoor portraits, indoor snapshots, and group shots, in daylight. The ultrawide lens fits more scenery into landscape shots and group photos. The macro option captures fine details of objects like food and plants, as well as close-up product shots. You also get a dependable front camera that delivers adequate detail in daylight for selfies and video calls, though low-light performance softens.

There are a few compromises the Galaxy A37 makes to hit a mid-range price point. It has a plastic frame, and the camera isn’t quite up to par with the flagship models. However, you still get a day’s worth of battery life and fast charging. You’ll need to supply your own adapter, though, because it’s unfortunately not included.

The Samsung Galaxy A37 5G handles streaming, photography, gaming, and 5G connectivity, and at $375, it’s a great deal for an Android phone with multi-year software support. If you’ve been waiting on a phone upgrade but didn’t want to pay flagship prices, the $75 off makes a capable Samsung phone more accessible.
