If you’re in need of more storage space, then you need to make sure you’re getting the right one for you. If you just need a lot of space to save files, then a massive HDD can often do the job. The same is true if you’re looking for a better way to make backups. However, if you need to do something like gaming, or just really intense work, then you need something with a bit more speed, and an SSD is an essential part of that.
You’ve got lots of options on that front, but if you really want to get one of the fastest possible ones, then you’ll want to pick up the Samsung 9100 Pro 1TB SSD, because it’s on sale with 27% off. That brings the price down to $249, and that’s an incredible price for tech of this level.
More Space, More Speed
This SSD can reach speeds of up to 14,700 MB/s, which is absolutely absurd. If you’re gaming from it, you’re not going to have to wait at all for your favorite games to load. You may as well throw you phone away, because you’re not going to get a chance to check it as the loading screens blink past you. It won’t speed up your Overwatch match-finding times though, nothing can do that. It works for a lot more than just games though. If you do a lot of work with big files, something like video editing for example, then this can speed that up as well.
Along with that, you’re also getting 1TB of storage, and that’s a lot no matter how you slice it. It is an internal SSD though, so do keep that in mind if you’re not comfortable opening up your PC. You can just ask your tech person to help. Everyone has a tech person. It even has better power deficiency than previous models, and that helps keep the temperature lower as well. Using less power is just a good thing, and it can help keep at least a little bit off of your energy bill every month.
This is easily one of the fastest SSDs around, and probably will be for a while to come. It’s also from Samsung, and the fact is you can rely on it for a long time. The $249 price tag makes this an easy decision to make if you can afford it, so definitely grab it if you want it.
