Here’s one of those breakthrough components that could change the Giz-world, a 7-inch flexible LCD from Samsung that will result in a new generation of strange and curved portable devices such as GPS navigation systems and video players.
When it’s unleashed into mass production, it’ll be the largest flexible LCD module in the world, maintaining uniform thickness across its full 7 inches (might be popular with the ladies), and it will reportedly be able to keep that video sharp and stable while going through its flexi-calisthenics. Samsung wasn’t saying when the technology will be widely distributed, but this we gotta see.
