Lots of comic books are about sex, but they usually only frame desire and fulfillment as subtext. That will change soon, because publisher Oni Press just announced a new line of books all about getting it on. First out the gate will be collection of Erika Moen and Matt Nolan’s Oh Joy Sex Toy webcomic.
Today’s press release say that Oni’s Limerence Press will be “a new erotic and sex education comics imprint focused on positive, diverse, and approachable stories that reflect a wide variety of emotional and intimate experiences.” Oh Joy Sex Toy is already a fan favorite for its blunt, funny advice on the best way to share NSFW selfies and the new deal with Oni means that the Moen and Nolan’s shame-free take on pleasure and intimacy will be getting to a wider audience. The first Limerence collection of Oh Joy Sex Toy will be hitting stores in October.
