Extra’s Mario Lopez had the chance to interview actor Ryan Reynolds about his upcoming role as Marvel’s mutant antihero Deadpool, and I don’t want to spoil it for you, but things take a decided turn for the, uh… Deadpool-y, I guess.
As for Reynolds’ promise here that the movie WILL have an R-rating, I wouldn’t necessarily take it to the bank. Yes, earlier today Reynolds tweeted this:
February 12th. There will be blood. Guns. F-bombs. And graphic, expertly lit French Unicorn sex. #deadpoolRatedR @deadpoolmovie #Aprilpools
— Ryan Reynolds (@VancityReynolds) April 1, 2015
Of course, today happens to be April Fools’ Day. And just two days ago, Reynolds tweeted this:
“@DPklok051: Is it going to be rated R or PG-13?" I want #Deadpool to be R. Always have. Fighting the good fight still. Lotta yelling today.

I would love to believe that Reynolds is telling the truth, but I can’t do it. Not today. Use your own best judgment, and let’s see what people say tomorrow.
