Moz prides itself on being affordable while still going strong in 2026. Still, those of you looking for Moz alternatives aren’t technically wrong. While Moz offers a variety of SEO tools to back you up, it’s far from perfect. In our Moz Pro review, we found its competitive analysis weak, plus, to get more features, you have to pay a premium price.

Another downside is link-building, where this tool isn’t the top option. Overall, the tool doesn’t feel as “fresh” as some of its alternatives, making it clear why certain people look for them. Good news – we have a couple of alternatives to Moz that will spike your interest!

Most of them will be superior, although not necessarily cheaper. However, if you’re looking to up your game and get something better, sometimes, you have to pay the price.

Best Moz Competitors and Alternatives

Before we begin, we want to clarify that all Moz Pro alternatives are tested by our team. You can get more information about each in our rundown of the top SEO tools on the market. For now, we’ll focus on six tools we think are ideal replacements for Moz’s offerings.

They include:

  1. Semrush – the best, all-around Moz replacement
  2. SE Ranking – powerful SEO tools for those on a budget
  3. Ahrefs – one of the largest backlink databases
  4. Mangools – the cheapest Moz alternative
  5. SpyFu – great for competitive analysis
  6. Ubersuggest – excellent ease of use with ample tools

Let’s now dive in and see what each of our top picks brings to the table.

1. Semrush

Pros

  • Great link-building tool
  • Accurate keyword data
  • Strong competitor analysis
  • Multi-device tracking
  • Content marketing

Cons

  • Slightly expensive
  • Some features aren’t in the Pro plan

Semrush easily takes the first spot as the top Moz Pro alternative of 2026. When we tested both, we figured out just how capable Semrush is. While a tad more expensive overall, it packs way more features and valuable data, making Moz look poor in comparison.

We said that Moz’s competitive analysis is its weak spot. Well, Semrush does things better with its Keyword/Backlink Gap tools to identify your opponents’ weaknesses. Moreover, there’s Organic Research, which lets you find organic competitors virtually in seconds.

Semrush also includes a link-building tool, which Moz lacks. This very tool lets you find prospects i.e. advised backlink sources, which you can contact directly and request a backlink, product review, or guest post. Moving on, Semrush offers more metrics.

It has a larger backlink database, with more accurate keyword difficulty parameters. On top of that, its Keyword Magic Tool makes it ideal for locating long-tail keywords for specific terms. Semrush also includes cannibalization reports and multi-device rank-tracking.

Not to mention other nifty tools like Backlink Audit, which Moz doesn’t have, plus SEO Content Template, which locates LSI keywords and provides advice on how to cover a specific topic. Most importantly, Semrush offers Content Marketing – a paramount tool!

This one lets you craft content aided by Semrush’s SEO Writing Assistant or ContentShake AI, which searches for new topics and fresh ideas. Semrush offers local SEO, advertising, and social media tools, squeezing the most out of your digital marketing effectiveness.

Prices & Plans

Semrush’s subscription plans include:

While Moz begins at $39/mo for its annual plans (Semrush’s prices are also for annual plans), the lowest-tier plans like Starter and Standard are underwhelming. You have to pay for Moz Medium, which costs $143/mo and is, therefore, more expensive than Semrush Pro.

You don’t have to pay for Guru to enjoy Semrush – the Pro plan is already beefed up. We recently published a comparison of Semrush’s Pro and Guru plans if you want to gain more clarity.

2. SE Ranking

Se Ranking Interface New

Pros

  • Affordable plans
  • In-depth site audits
  • AI writing tools
  • Backlink/keyword gap
  • Very easy to use

Cons

  • No free plan
  • Local SEO is paid additionally

Moving on with the rundown of the best alternatives to Moz, we have SE Ranking, as one of the best-value options. It’s similar to Moz price-wise but offers so much more. It’s reminiscent of Semrush, whose all-aroundness makes it appealing to millions of users. What will you get?

From the start, SE Ranking is better at finding competitors and discovering their weaknesses. We also love its easy-to-use keyword-related tools. You’ll find ample suggestions and be able to perform detailed keyword research, discovering new opportunities in the process.

SE Ranking supports rank-tracking, which works pretty well. The cheapest plan tracks 500 keywords as well, while Moz tracks only 50. Another benefit is daily rank-tracking updates, which ensures SE Ranking always offers evergreen data. What about content marketing?

Again, SE Ranking shines here, offering an AI writer to help you write and manage content. Its Local SEO tools are great if want to amplify your online presence. SE Ranking includes a variety of SEO auditing tools, both on the site level and on the page level.

This allows you to inspect each page and find stubborn and hidden errors. We shouldn’t forget its backlink analytics, which carefully examines your or competitor’s profile. SE Ranking is extremely simple to use and looks quite modern, unlike Moz’s dated interface.

It’s worth noting that SE Ranking misses cannibalization reports and those tiny metrics found in Semrush. Despite that, it’s a phenomenal Moz alternative that’s even better while keeping the price low. Don’t forget to read our SE Ranking review for more valuable insights.

Prices & Plans

SE Ranking’s prices are some of the most jaw-dropping. Its plans are:

We recommend its Pro plan, which is technically equivalent to Moz Medium. However, at $50+ less, it offers 2,000 trackable keywords, 3 user seats, social media integration, a content marketing toolkit, historical data, and much more. It’s a MUCH better proposition.

3. Ahrefs

Pros

  • Large backlink database
  • Content Explorer
  • 750 trackable keywords in the cheapest plan
  • Up to 5 years of historical data
  • 15+ free SEO tools

Cons

  • Very expensive
  • Weekly rank-tracking updates

Ahrefs is often compared to Moz and is mentioned as a formidable alternative. Our opinion is that Ahrefs is better, despite its overall higher price. However, its ease of use paired with splendid information delivery makes Ahrefs a powerhouse. What does it offer?

To start with, Ahrefs is a capable tool for backlink research. It has the largest backlink database, which is great for both competitor analysis and doing research for your website. Another thing we like is Keywords Explorer, which has seen massive improvements recently.

Ahrefs is now more effective at discovering keyword opportunities, for example. Also, its Site Audit tool underwent a few tweaks, making it more efficient at locating site errors and removing them. Ahrefs is notorious for its Rank Tracker and weekly, instead of daily updates.

You can get daily updates at $100/mo – duh! Still, Ahrefs is incredibly accurate and will provide just enough information. A recent addition is Content Explorer, which can be deemed a sort of content marketing, that Moz lacks. It’s great for content ideas.

The tool also lets you find link opportunities, which Moz, again, doesn’t have. Ahrefs tracks 750 keywords in the Lite plan, so again, it’s better than Moz in this regard. Its 6 months to 5 years of historical data also trumps Moz, solidifying Ahrefs’ position on this in-depth list.

Be aware that Ahrefs is not going to beat Semrush but it’s a very close competitor. By extension, it’s one of the top Moz alternatives if you want a stellar upgrade, as long as you don’t mind a hefty bill each month or year, depending on the plan you choose.

Prices & Plans

This SEO tool will gladly make you pay a top dollar for it. Its prices and plans include:

  • Pro at $108/mo
  • Standard at $208/mo
  • Advanced at $374/mo
  • Enterprise at $1,249/mo+

Ahrefs offers a lot but charges a lot. Some features are paid extra, such as daily rank-tracking updates. However, it can track the most keywords out of all Moz alternatives (up to 10,000) and is one of the most reliable tools for backlink analysis.

Having trouble making a choice? If it helps, we recently published a comparison of Ahrefs vs Semrush vs Moz.

4. Mangools

Mangools Kwfinder Search By Domain

Pros

  • Incredibly cheap at $29.90/mo
  • KWFinder is surprisingly capable
  • Daily rank-tracking updates
  • Up to 5 user seats

Cons

  • No content marketing
  • It lacks site audit functions

Is Mangools better than Moz? We can discuss it another time in depth. In short, we don’t think it is but it’s pretty close, especially for the price. It starts at merely thirty quids a month, offering 5 easy-to-use premium SEO tools to cover a variety of important aspects.

Its KWFinder is easily the most vital one. It’s your keyword research tool that provides numerous suggestions and metrics like difficulty and volume. Then, we have SERPWatcher, which tracks the ranking of the given keywords and updates them daily – not weekly!

This ranks SERPWatcher as a viable tool for position tracking. Another tool we love is LinkMiner. It allows you to analyze backlink profiles of your website or your competitors, and to our surprise, it’s much more in-depth than Moz’s equivalent. What about SERP analysis?

You’re covered by SERPChecker, which lets you explore your competitors’ pages and figure out which tactics they’ve used to appear in a SERP feature. Mangools lack site audit tools but so does Moz. It also lacks content marketing, and guess what – so does Moz Pro!

Why is Mangools one of the top Moz alternatives? We chose it because it’s much easier to use and comes with a playful interface. On top of that, all three plans are very cheap and don’t go over $90/mo, for which money, you’re getting a LOT compared to Moz.

For instance, you can get up to 5 user seats, 1,500 trackable keywords, unlimited keyword suggestions, unlimited tracked domains, and so on. For this, you’ll have to pay at least 70% more in Moz and still not get so many “unlimited” things.

Prices & Plans

Mangools’ prices are milder compared to its competitors. Its plans are:

  • Basic at $29.90/mo
  • Premium at $44.90/mo
  • Agency at $89.90/mo

Our recommended plan is the last one because this price gives you a lot, such as 5 user seats and 1,500 trackable keywords. Though, at this price, SE Ranking is a better Moz alternative with a lot more features. Mangools also has a tiny 48-hour money-back guarantee.

5. SpyFu

Spyfu Gizmodo Overview
© SpyFu

Pros

  • 15+ years of historical data
  • Kombat (keyword/backlink gap)
  • Google Ad History
  • Affordable plans

Cons

  • No site audits
  • Smaller backlink database

SpyFu is another cheap Moz alternative that won’t leave you stranded. Its primary function is competitor analysis, which means you’ll explore advertising opportunities, get more data about ad history, and seek new keywords to overtake your opponents. Exciting, huh?

Wait until you hear about SpyFu’s refreshed interface, which makes everything smooth. The dashboard already packs quite a few important metrics about your website and competition. From here, you can go to Ranking History and evaluate the website’s performance over time.

Or, you can visit the Backlinks section and discover their organic monthly clicks. SpyFu includes Kombat, which is your “Gap” tool for backlinks. This allows you to find websites that link to your competitor but not you. Like Semrush, SpyFu can find your organic competitors.

Moreover, you can even discover your shared organic keywords and top pages. Depending on the subscription, SpyFu offers up to 15+ years of historical data, which even Semrush fails to deliver in most cases. There’s also a whole section dedicated to PPC research.

When discussing Moz, it’s hard to commend it for the same level of detail. SpyFu’s competitor analysis is on another level! While Moz is better at keyword research and site audits, which SpyFu lacks, the latter is a tad cheaper and is more of a “niche” SEO tool.

In other words, it’s more of a competitor analysis solution than an all-around tool like Semrush or SE Ranking. However, with the other features on the table, it’s a solid option for all-around SEO. If you’re interested see how SpyFu compares to Semrush in our duel.

Prices & Plans

SpyFu’s competitor analysis won’t cost a fortune, as the company offers two plans:

  • Basic at $39/mo
  • Professional at $79/mo

Both plans should suffice. The difference is that Professional has “unlimited” features and 10+ years of historical data. As you can see, it costs similarly to Moz unless you opt for the Medium plan. At this price, Moz and SpyFu are pretty much neck-and-neck.

However, SpyFu is a great alternative for competitor analysis if you prioritize this aspect.

6. Ubersuggest

Ubersuggest
© Ubersuggest

Pros

  • Crafty AI Writer
  • Keyword Generator
  • Lifetime plans

Cons

  • Only up to 300 trackable keywords
  • Some plans are poor value
  • Lackluster customer support

Finally, you can replace Moz Pro with Ubersuggest and likely be very satisfied. Comparing this one to Moz, we can see a few differences. Moz has higher limits and allows you to track more websites and keywords. However, Ubersuggest has more imaginative tools. How?

For one, it comes with a gorgeous interface, which enables you to quickly find keyword suggestions, backlink opportunities, and domain-specific information. From here, you can also access the Rank Tracking tool, which offers more data than Moz, with greater accuracy.

A huge advantage of Ubersuggest over Moz is an AI Writer. Neil Patel, Ubersuggest’s owner, made its AI Writer extremely simple to use. The newest, 2.0 version, crafts content in multiple languages and optimizes it based on the given keywords and seed topic – very unique!

Ubersuggest’s Lab features are also phenomenal. There’s the Keyword Generator, which generates countless keyword ideas based on the seed keyword. Furthermore, the Traffic Estimation tool gives you an insight into your or competitor’s top pages and their traffic.

Adding to its quality is the Similar Websites tool for keyword research. This tool is oriented towards competitive analysis, letting you unravel keyword gaps and opportunities by locating your true competitors. Ubersuggest lacks a few tools we’d like to see.

For instance, it could benefit from tiny bits of data like cannibalization reports from Semrush or more “distant” historical data like SpyFu. However, Ubersuggest is very affordable and the only Moz alternative for 2026 that offers Lifetime plans for the ultimate value!

Prices & Plans

Ubersuggest offers monthly, yearly, and Lifetime plans. The latter lets you save the most and the current prices are:

  • Business Lifetime at $200
  • Individual Lifetime at $120
  • Enterprise Lifetime at $400

These are very attractive prices, especially for the Individual plan.

This plan allows for only one domain and a single user, with 125 tracked keywords daily. The Enterprise plan is the most impressive, with 5 user seats, 300 tracked keywords, and 10,000 page scans per domain. Neil Patel’s tool isn’t the best value on paper.

But after using it for a while, we must say it functions like a well-oiled machine and provides more features than Moz, especially in content marketing and AI content writing.

Final Thoughts

So, let’s wrap things up by digressing on everything we said. The best Moz alternatives and competitors of 2026 are undoubtedly Semrush and SE Ranking.

After comparing them directly to Moz, we found just how superior they were in information delivery and features. Ahrefs is for those braver who don’t mind spending more. We then have Mangools and SpyFu as some of the most affordable SEO Moz Pro alternatives.

Lastly, there’s Ubersuggest as a nice-looking, joyful, and clever solution from Neil Patel whose SEO expertise is undeniable. With the 6 amazing options, you have ample to think about. We’re sure you won’t go wrong because we cherry-picked the creme de la creme.

By the way, all SEO tools can be used for free as well, so it doesn’t hurt to give them a test ride.
