The Shuttle X100 Ultra-Small Media PC is a design concept that
s so tiny you'd think it was a FireWire drive, but even though it's small, inside there's a full-scale computer powered by an Intel Core Duo mobile processor. There's also ATI Mobility Radeon 1600 graphics in there, and it's ready for the home theater with DVI-out along with SPDIF multichannel digital audio. It's not perfect, though— it's a little slim on disk space and RAM, with a 250GB hard drive and 512MB of RAM. Even so, it reads all kinds of flash cards and has plenty of USB ports along with FireWire. It's unknown when it will actually be a shipping product, but Shuttle will reportedly be displaying it at CeBIT in Hanover, Germany next month. This is just the beginning of a new wave of tiny PCs that will be right at home in the home theater.
