Snoopy looks so good in this movie poster

There is a new Peanuts movie coming on November 2015. I don't know if it's going to be good or not, but technically it looks like a pretty nice translation of Schulz's graphic language into the 3D world. The trailer below just seems like the classic Snoopy and Woodstock fantasy silliness.

It seems to me like this movie would only be good if someone like Brad Bird (The Iron Giant, The Incredibles) or Chris Miller and Phil Lord (The Lego Movie, Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs) wrote and directed it. Or anyone who could actually understand Schulz sensibility and genius to reproduce it on the big screen. The director, however, is the guy who did movies like Horton Hears a Who! and Ice Age: Continental Drift. So yes, I'm not keeping my hopes high for this one.

Still, that poster is beautiful. I love that beagle fur.
