If you were worried that you weren’t ever going to be able to turn every glass of water you drink into a sticky, syrupy soda pop with the press of a single button, worry no more. The Soda-Club Home Soda Maker lets you make seltzers, colas, sugar-free root beers, Rotting Corpse™ sulphur fizzes and more for just $105 and up (it all depends on how much proprietary “Carbonators” and SodaMix you want to purchase from them).
Or you could try my new Tapulon X5 – potable water from the convenience of your own sink (prices vary depending on customer salary).

Update: Delightfully named reader Hollis T. Hurd – who happens to be a loyal Soda-Club user and diabetic – had a few choice, positive remarks about the machines, and I thought I’d pass them on after the jump.
I appreciate your skepticism, but there is at least one application where Soda Club is a lifesaver: folks with dietary restrictions that prevent them from drinking most commercial beverages. For example, those who must not drink sugar have limited choices, and if you cannot drink potassium either, virtually nothing is available, since potassium is used as a preservative in most all diet sodas. Diabetics and folks with kidney disease find Soda Club ideal, because we can consume their syrups and we can also make our own, for example using Kool-Aid and Splenda, with no nutritional penalty.
