A small, powerful solution for delivering music throughout your home, the Sonos Era 100 SL Compact Speaker delivers rich stereo sound and solid bass from a single unit. Two angled tweeter units and one large mid-woofer unit, each powered by its own Class-D amplifier, deliver excellent treble, clear mids, and strong low-end response. It uses Wi-Fi and Bluetooth to connect to your devices, supports AirPlay 2 and Spotify Connect, and works with many other streaming services through the Sonos app.

Built as an easy-to-use, entry-level, microphone-free model in the Sonos product lineup, this compact unit gives you stereo sound from a single unit, Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.3 wireless capabilities, stereo pairing, home theater surround capability, Trueplay acoustic calibration, and touch controls, all packaged in a compact footprint that fits on a shelf, a desktop, or a bedside table. Since the Era 100 SL doesn’t contain microphones, it can’t respond to voice commands, which makes it a perfect addition to any bedroom, office, or other private area of your home where you’d rather not have a listening device, and it allows you to keep your focus on getting the best possible quality of sound.
Each of the two angled tweeters can spread high frequencies throughout the room for true stereo separation, while the mid-woofer delivers strong, full-bodied bass to fill rooms. Three separate Class-D amplifiers power the drivers, ensuring optimal performance at both low and high volumes.
Trueplay is a feature in the Sonos ecosystem that measures your room’s acoustic characteristics and optimizes your music playback to match those conditions. This feature is available on an iOS device. In addition to optimizing your music playback, the Sonos app lets you adjust EQ settings, set overall volume limits, and quickly access your preferred music streaming services.
With Apple’s AirPlay 2 technology, you can stream music directly from your iPhone, iPad, or Mac using built-in Wi-Fi. Alternatively, if you prefer Spotify, use Spotify Connect to stream your playlists directly to the Era 100 SL. If you’re outside your local network’s range, you can switch to Bluetooth mode to keep enjoying your music. To add additional audio sources to your Era 100 SL Compact Speaker, you can purchase a USB-C line-in adapter separately.
On top of the Era 100 SL Compact Speaker are touch-sensitive controls. These controls include basic functions such as playing and pausing your music, skipping songs, and adjusting the volume with a sliding control. You can also pair two Era 100 SL Compact Speakers in the same room for even wider stereo sound. If you’ve already invested in multiple Sonos products, you can link these speakers to others in your existing Sonos setup for multiroom audio, or use them as rear surround speakers when paired with one of Sonos’ soundbars.
As part of its ongoing commitment to sustainability, Sonos has developed the Era 100 SL Compact Speaker using recycled plastics. The company also designed it to use less energy, and it ships the product in sustainably sourced, recyclable, paper-based packaging.
