Sony Helps With Mac DVD Burners

Sony ain’t no dummies. Realizing the zeitgeist of the Mac, the Japanese company has finally created the DRX-81OUL/T, a DVD burner that will be compatible with your Macintosh. Shipping next month, it is an extrernal and dual layer DVD drive loaded with Roxio’s Toast 6 Lite and will allow you to burn up to 8.5GB of video, data, music or images in about 15 minutes. The drive also supports 4X DVD-R DL, 16X DVD R, 8X DVD+RW, 6X DVD-RW, 48X CD-R and 32X CD-RW recording speeds and can connect to i.LINK and hi-speed USB (USB 2.0) digital interfaces. It’ll run for $150.
