We had a sketchy report forseeing Sony's next futile flail at creating an iPod rival last week, and now we have details about it. We were right, it's a USB stick-like player. Looking a lot like a cheap Bic lighter, it weighs just under an ounce, it's available in a variety of colors as you can see, and can play for 28 hours on a one-hour charge.

It will be available in 512MB ($116), 1GB ($148) and 2GB ($191) capacities, and will include Sony's "Dynamic Normalizer" which sounds suspiciously like a similar function that's been in the iPod for years. Yawn.
