Sony’s announced a new mid-to-high-end “phablet” model today, with its Xperia T2 Ultra arriving in both normal and dual-SIM options. It combines a 1080p display with a 13-Megapixel camera, with Sony plumbing its quad-core Qualcomm MSM8928 chipset into 1GB of RAM.

Sony’s even gone and used the word “selfie” in its press release, suggesting its pre-loaded Portrait retouch app will be of use to people not horrified by what they see when pointing a camera at themselves. As for other things you might need to know, the Xperia T2 Ultra comes with microSD expansion, which is handy as there’s only 8GB of onboard storage space as standard, LTE support, DLNA, MHL, Bluetooth 4.0 and a 720p front-facing secondary camera.
