It’s one of those ideas that sounds crazy, but you never know. Producer Mark Gordon is bringing Source Code, the Duncan Jones-directed film that he produced, to CBS as a weekly TV series. That’s right: Every week we’ll jump into a new person’s memories. Or something.

Here’s how the report, in the Hollywood Reporter, describes how the show would work:

Like the film on which it is based, the action/procedural follows three former federal agents who are part of a top-secret program. Each week, they’ll use “Source Code” technology to jump into the consciousness of people involved in tragic events.

How many episodes can you imagine this show lasting? The report says there’s a “meaningful penalty,” which means CBS owes money if the show doesn’t get made. So you never know. [THR]
