Stephen Hawking Singing Monty Python's "Galaxy Song" Is Perfection

For Record Store Day, the Pythons and Hawking teamed up to record Hawking singing the title song to Monty Python — The Meaning of Life. And it is all that is beautiful and right and just in this world.

It comes from the Monty Python live show, where Brian Cox showed up to nitpick the song for scientific accuracy, before Hawking knocks him over to take center stage. And to fly off into space. You could spend forever making gifs of this:

The song was released for download today and is also available as a special 7" vinyl.

I feel lucky to have shared the same time and the same planet with Hawking and the Pythons, both here and gone. A most amazing and unlikely occurrence.
