Streamlined BlackBerry App World Hits 3.0 in a Vacuum of Care

Sort of like putting a fancy new hat on a terminally ill patient, RIM’s dropped details on the third version of their app store. It’ll now be much easier to browse their limited catalog on your mediocre handset.

The update does little more than add a more prominent search bar, make app details easier to read, and resort apps into channels. So, there you have it—RIM has saved the BlackBerry legacy. If you’d like to foxtrot on the wild side, you can sign up at the BlackBerry Beta Zone, which if it were a real place, I imagine looking and smelling much like a dilapidated Chuck E. Cheese.
