Vizio’s first tablet wasn’t exactly amazing. But the 10-inch M-Series the company just debuted at CES? Looks like second time’s the charm.

Vizio’s being cagey about M-Series guts, but in our hands on the tablet the tablet was peppy and responsive chewing through an alpha build of Honeycomb. Apps loaded quickly and videos played smoothly. Integrated stereo speakers on the top and bottom of the tablet orient themselves for stereophonic sound in both landscape and portrait mode. And a hidden IR port in one of the top speakers can control over 95 percent of gadgets and gizmos. Throw in Vizio’s discount pricing pricing model (although they haven’t given a number yet) and you’ve got the most promising Android tablet we’ve seen in a long long time. [Vizio]
