The Xenomorph is the original Alien horror, and we’d certainly not want to be caught in a dark spaceship corridor with one. But Noah Hawley’s Alien: Earth, which is gearing up for its second season, introduced a fresh nightmare that helped the show brilliantly expand on the sci-fi horror franchise. We’re still thinking about the Eye. And we’re pretty sure it’s still thinking about us, too.
Now, this otherworldly critter would be creepy enough just based on appearances—it’s literally a disembodied eyeball—and the fact that it’s always eagerly searching for its next host body. In the FX series, it got to hang out in the body of a sheep. But the scariest thing about it happens to be the fact that it’s super-scary intelligent. So when it finds a human to tool around in at the end of season one, well… we can’t wait to find out what happens next.
This breakout star has already been given the Funko treatment, but Kidrobot has another piece of merch (hat-tip to Bloody Disgusting) that’s even more precious: a plush version that’s being called “interactive” because you get the sheep and the eyeball components. Meaning that eyeball could just scuttle off one day and attach itself to your face instead.
Not really, but you should probably watch your back anyway. Because this thing is definitely watching you.
The Alien: Earth-inspired plush is 13 inches in height, and the eye removes and has “bendable tentacles.” It’ll set you back $42 and is available for pre-order now.
