The Dyson V15 Detect Pro Is at Its Record Low on Amazon, Now Cheaper Than an Older V11

The V11 launched at $599 two generations ago, and now the V15 Detect Pro costs less than that right now with laser dust detection, 120 minutes of runtime, an extra battery, and an LCD that counts every particle it picks up.

Reading time 2 minutes

The Dyson V11 launched at $599 two generations ago, and right now, the Dyson V15 Detect Pro (Dyson’s most intelligent cordless vacuum) is down to $534, off its $849 list price and at its record low on Amazon. Two generations of engineering improvements, 120 minutes of runtime, a laser dust detection system, and an LCD screen that counts particles, all for less than the V11 cost at launch. This is a Prime Early Deal for Prime members only, and Amazon offers a free 30-day trial without a credit card for anyone who wants to access the deal without committing to an annual membership.

The vacuum that shows you what you missed

The V15 Detect Pro’s defining feature is its intelligence layer. The LCD screen displays a real-time count of particles picked up during cleaning, broken down by size category, which turns invisible dust into visible data. When the count spikes, you know you have found a heavily soiled area worth a second pass. When it drops to near zero, you know the floor is genuinely clean rather than guessing by appearance. The system also adapts power automatically based on what the sensors detect and which floor type the head is on, pushing more suction when debris is heavy and conserving battery when the surface is already clean. Remaining runtime displays to the second rather than a vague battery bar, which changes how you plan a cleaning session across a multi-room home.

One hundred percent more power than previous generations and 120 minutes of total runtime make this a whole-home vacuum rather than a room-at-a-time proposition. An extra battery is included in the Pro bundle, which effectively doubles that runtime to 240 minutes across two charges without returning to the dock between rooms.

Hair detangling that actually works

The Digital Motorbar cleaner head handles hard floors and carpet without manual adjustment, and its anti-tangle mechanism removes long hair and pet hair from the brush bar continuously during cleaning rather than stopping every few minutes to cut accumulated hair off the roller. The Hair Screw Tool adds a dedicated attachment for pet beds, car seats, upholstery, and stairs, with a conical brush bar designed specifically to capture and extract hair rather than redistribute it. For households with long-haired humans or shedding pets, these two tools working together cover the use case that most cordless vacuums address poorly.

Advanced whole-machine HEPA filtration captures 99.99% of particles down to 0.3 microns and expels cleaner air than the vacuum takes in, covering the allergy and air quality use case that lower-tier vacuums skip. Six Dyson-engineered accessories cover high surfaces, tight corners, cars, stairs, and upholstery in addition to the floor attachments, and the wall dock stores the machine and all accessories without floor space beyond the dock footprint.

The V11 was the standard recommendation for Dyson buyers for years, and its launch price reflected the premium Dyson commanded at the time. The V15 Detect Pro at $534 undercuts that historical benchmark while delivering two additional generations of motor technology, intelligent particle sensing, and a runtime that the V11 never matched. For Prime members, this record low is the moment the V15 Detect Pro stops being aspirational and starts being the obvious choice.
