You might have that one auntie who displays a level of sass and verbal kung-fu that is simultaneously cool and frightening. For Wonder Woman, that auntie is Athena, which makes it very entertaining when the goddess of wisdom and war visits the World’s Greatest Superheroes.
One of this weekend’s upcoming episodes of Justice League Action is “The Trouble with Truth,” which sees Athena visiting Earth to see if Diana will relocate to Mt. Olympus and become the Goddess of Truth. She tags along with the League as they respond to threats and, as seen in these clips, gets under their skin in godly fashion. That beat where Batman looks at the eject button is comedy gold.
